WHITNEY HOUSTON CANTARÁ EN ESPAÑA
Si te ha emocionado el séptimo y último trabajo de Whitney, I look to you, o eres un seguidor de clásicos como I will always love you, My love is your love, el próximo 30 de abril tienes una cita con la diva en Tenerife. Por ahora, es el único concierto confirmado por Whitney Houston en nuestro país.
Dentro de unos días, el 9 de diciembre en concreto, emprenderá su gira mundial en Moscú. Después proseguirá el día 12 en el Palacio del Hielo de San Petersburgo y continuará con los conciertos en Japón, Reino Unido y Alemania, entre otros países, para concluir el 10 de junio en Helsinki, según se informa en su página web oficial.
En España tendremos que esperar hasta el último día del mes de abril, que aterrice en Tenerife y ofresca en el campo de golf Costa Adeje un concierto para un evento exclusivo y para el que se presupone que se pagará por entrada un precio desorbitado.
La cantante recibía hace unos días un galardón por su larga carrera en los American Music Awards. Un buen estímulo para esta gira inminente.

Dancing With The Stars: Whitney Houston to Perform on Season Finale
WHITNEY Houston will perform on the season finale of Dancing With The Stars, it was confirmed Monday.The I Wanna Dance With Somebody hitmaker, 46, will sing on the Nov. 24 finale, a rep for ABC told Us Weekly magazine.
I LookTo You, Houston’s seventh album (and her first in seven years) debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 in September, selling 305,000 copies in its first week.
Dancing With The Stars‘ semifinals get underway Monday Nov. 16 with Joanna Krupa, Mya, Kelly Osbourne, and Donny Osmond in the final four.
Houston will be handed the International Artist Award at the American Music Awards (AMAs) later this month and will perform her new single I Didn’t Know My Own Strength at the ceremony.

Whitney At American Music Awards 2009
On Nov. 22, the 46-year-old entertainer will sing her Diane Warren-penned ballad 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength' on the 37th annual American Music Awards telecast. The song is a featured single from Houston's seventh studio album 'I Look to You,' which debuted atop the charts and marks the biggest first-week sales of her career.
The 'I Will Always Love You' singer's AMA performance will be her first time on the show in a decade. She previously performed 'Until You Come Back' and 'My Love Is Your Love,' with Babyface and Wyclef Jean, on the 1999 telecast. It will also mark Houston's first prime-time U.S. network performance in five years since appearing on the 'World Music Awards' in 2004.
According to a rep for Dick Clark Productions, Houston will also be presented with the American Music Awards International Artist Award in recognition of "special artists who have gone beyond the borders of their own country to be acknowledged for their superstar status around the globe." She will be the eighth honoree to join an elite group of award-winning recipients, including Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin, the Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Madonna and Beyoncé.

Madonna and Houston deny Jackson concert reports
Madonna's PR Liz Rosenberg has denied rumours that Madonna would feature in the Michael Jackson tribute show BUT has added confusion by saying that 'It's not true. She's still on tour' - Madonna is on tour now but is not touring when the tribute show takes place: A star-studded tribute concert honouring late superstar Michael Jackson has been thrown into jeopardy after representatives for Whitney Houston and Madonna denied the singers have signed up to headline the show. Plans to honour the late King Of Pop with a gig in Vienna, Austria next month were confirmed by Jermaine Jackson earlier this week. Jackson is co-ordinating the event with talk show host Larry King's wife Shawn. Usher, Lionel Richie and Whitney Houston were all confirmed as performers at the memorial show, in the grounds of the city's former imperial Schoenbrunn Palace, by Shawn King's spokesman Howard Rubenstein. Producer Georg Kindel from World Awards Media, the company behind the event, also hinted that Queen Of Pop Madonna was set to pay tribute to the Thriller hitmaker. But spokespersons for Houston and the Holiday hitmaker have hit back at reports of the stars' participation in the extravaganza, according to New York gossip column PageSix. Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg says, 'It's not true. She's still on tour,' while Houston's spokeswoman Jill Fritzo adds, '(No). Not that I am aware of.' The concert will be broadcast live on TV and over 85,000 fans will be given the chance to attend. Ticket sales for The Tribute go on sale on 20 August.

The next season of Simon Cowell’s UK TV talent show The X Factor is sure to be a ratings hit — Madonna, Whitney Houston and Rihanna are all lined up to appear.
Britney Spears and Beyonce appeared on the smash hit TV show’s 2008 season.
And Cowell is keen to repeat the rating success — so has signed deals with the three aforementioned pop divas and British singer Robbie Williams.
According to British newspaper The Sun, news of the deals leaked after The X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman boasted about the talent due to perform on the show.
“Brian is really excited about this year’s show because there are some great artists involved,” a source told the tabloid.
“He is proud to be part of it and admires Simon’s ability to attract A-listers.”

Whitney Houston: the comeback
If the last couple of weeks in pop music have been dominated by the death of a superstar, this week marked at least the beginning of the return of another. Whitney Houston was in London for a playback of tracks from her forthcoming album, ‘I Look At You’, her first release since 2003.
Houston’s fall from grace has been well chronicled, when her image went from girl next door to gaunt, confused, drug-addled diva (who famously declared “crack is wack”). But since her divorce from R&B singer Bobby Brown in 2007, she has apparently been making concerted efforts to put her life back on track.
Although she didn’t perform, Houston looked in good shape. There was a slightly heart stopping moment when, whilst making a schmaltzy speech (“I love London, you and I go back”), a small, coloured lump of something dropped from about her person onto the stage. Houston stared at this suspicious object, then bent to pick it up, announcing, “I really wanted that piece of candy! Many tracks sounded over-thought and contrived, from a Diane Warren power ballad ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’ (full of self-referencing lines like ‘I did not crumble”, “I was not built to break”) to a host of club friendly contributions from contemporary stars, including Alicia Keys and R Kelly. I am not quite sure what a gospel soul singer once acclaimed as “The Voice” is doing duetting with Akon, the new king of autotune. Best of the bunch was an old fashioned hi energy disco version of Leon Russell’s ballad ‘A Song For You’, on which Houston really sounds like she’s enjoying herself, and not trying too hard to prove she’s back and she’s still hip.
Houston’s fall from grace has been well chronicled, when her image went from girl next door to gaunt, confused, drug-addled diva (who famously declared “crack is wack”). But since her divorce from R&B singer Bobby Brown in 2007, she has apparently been making concerted efforts to put her life back on track.

NEW SINGLE "MILL DOLLAR BILL"
Aunque se había anunciado que el primer single de “I Look to You”, el nuevo álbum de Whitney Houston, sería la balada "I Didn't Know My Own Strength", compuesta por Diane Warren y producida David Foster, ha habido un cambio de planes y este sencillo ha sido cancelado. En su lugar se ha preferido elegir como single de adelanto una canción más bailable, "Mill Dollar Bill", que ha producido Swizz Beatz y escrito Alicia Keys. Se pondrá a la venta el 28 de julio. “I Look to You” se publicará el 1 de septiembre y también incluye colaboraciones de Sean Garrett, Akon y R Kelly.
