RUMOR DE UN DUO ENTRE WHITNEY Y ALICIA KEYS

BY STELLA FOSTER Sun-Times Columnist

In my Thursday column I wrote: "Now actress Jessica Alba and boyfriend Cash Warren are preggers! As are Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry and Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. These out-of-wedlock scenarios coming out of Hollywood send the wrong message to young STUPID GIRLS and BOYS."

HERE ARE JUST a few of my readers' responses: Yeah, they said it! (Ha!)

"Ms. Foster, I want to hug you for your comments on Thursday re: out of wedlock babies.

It is so sad that it's ok to have sex outside of marriage. We always talk about God this or God that but do not live according to His Word. As much as I love Oprah, the hairs stand up on my neck when she has shows that condone shacking and sex. Our young people don't see anything wrong with sleeping around. They love talking about my 'baby daddy' or my 'baby momma' as if it is a badge of honor. When we see so many reports in the paper and children of the same family have 4 to 5 different last names. The news is full of entertainment drama. Stars get on TV and tell how they were pursued by another while still married. Sports figures change women and men like underwear. Kobe, Michael and Shaq have shameful episodes in their lives that were strictly caused by sex, unfaithfulness and that's just a few. Movie stars can't seem to get it together. And these are the ones our youth emulate.

Say it again and again my sister, it's hard enough out here without bringing a child in the world drama. When these children get in school there are more problems. Children need a mother and father who are married and committed to each other. I really thank you for putting it out there. Thank you again."

"I agree, these out-of-wedlock by choice of so-called powerful influence peddling people are sending the wrong message. At least you have courage to speak up while others such as Oprah endorses it."

A. Mauri

"Great call on the unmarried pregnant movie stars! . . . I teach 6th grade Sunday school and am very quick to point out to the 12- and 13-year-olds that this is not the way to go. I also point out that the baby is not the sin. What the people did to get that baby was the sin. Keep telling it like it is!"

LOCAL BACHELORS off the market: Congrats to former ad exec Tom Burrell on his marriage to the lovely Madeleine Moore, a New York businesswoman. . . . Dr. Cuttie Bacon III, a bachelor for over 24 years, will marry Northern Trust Bank VP Juliane Batts on Saturday in a private ceremony in Louisville, Ky. Bacon also bought a new Silver Seraph Rolls Royce, one of only 170 made in the world, to tool around in with his lady love. . . . Longtime on the singles set, businessman Ralph Moore is engaged to education consultant/vocalist Marguerite Mariama and plans to wed in Vegas in August. . . . Long may they all love!

THE BEST TV commercials -- The very creative TJ Maxx holiday spots . . . and the new Nike spot with the NBA's LeBron James. He delivers a powerful message to kids. And, the worst -- still Geico.
